Steve Crider Jr, MD
Dr. Crider founded Origins Spine and Joint Physicians to provide patients with the highest quality treatment for painful spine and joint conditions. He has more than 10 years experience successfully treating chronic pain in countless numbers of patients. Drawing upon a wealth of expertise and knowledge, he is able to provide compassionate, complete care for his patients utilizing a multidisciplinary approach that includes the most advanced minimally invasive interventional techniques.
He is a Georgia native who grew up in the small town of Fairmount before embarking on his journey to becoming a physician. After completing undergraduate training at University of Georgia in Athens he attended Medical College of Georgia in Augusta for his doctor of medicine degree. He then completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL followed by his fellowship in Pain Medicine at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. He is a board certified by The American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.

Shereen Xavier NP-C
Shereen began her career as a medical-surgical nurse at Emory University hospital where she learned to deliver compassionate, evidence-based and patient-centered care. While working at Emory, she pursued her Masters of Science in Nursing with a subspecialty in Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgia State University in Atlanta. She has worked for several years as a family nurse practitioner assessing and treating patients with multiple and complex conditions. She is passionate about providing quality care and enjoys getting to know her patients.
Shereen, originally from Pittsburgh, lives with her husband, 2-year-old daughter and 7-year-old goldendoodle. She enjoys reading thriller novels, gardening, and traveling the world. She is an active member at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and enjoys community events.
